Day 4 - Back in the saddle
16 December 2021
A good night's sleep for both.
Shell much better. I am not well. Throat better. Chest troubling. Bad cough.
Breakfast porridge on the camp stove.
“Happiness is not achieved by the conscious pursuit of happiness; it is generally the by-product of other activities.” ― Aldous Huxley
11.00 am. We head off for what should be an easy day.
Hit Igualada by 12.00 pm. Early check in of 1.00 pm on offer. We do the last 6 km in 45 minutes.
The place is stunning. Outdoor kitchen. With food a 12 km round trip away we decide to make use of the camp gear and the kitchen.
Late lunch. Early dinner. Either. No need for more food today.
Relaxing afternoon. A big day tomorrow. 40 km. The first 15 km incline. The next downhill. We will break frequently. No repeat of Day 1.
My cold seems manageable.
“She had passed her whole life as does everyone, rushing and dreaming in blind, deaf refusal of the miracle of each moment.” ― Umberto Bartolomeo
