Day 140 - Zagvozd

30 April 2022

Happy birthday, Nan.

Just a quick note for today. We are camping and I forgot to charge the laptop.

A very short ride, only 16 km. There were some tough hills today. Shell was back in form, making quick work of them.

On the way to the campsite there is a man spit roast three sheep. The smell is amazing. I ask if he has a restaurant but the language barrier is too much.

We are camping tonight and it is great to be back in the tent. Our campground is very well equipped and only a ten minute ride into town. We arrived early. Set up and get some things for lunch and dinner.

“It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.” ― Dave Barry

We are spending the afternoon lying in the tent. There is nothing to do but read and chat. The weather is perfect. Sunny, 23˚C and a cool breeze of the mountains.

We will hit the coast tomorrow. A longer ride, but mostly flat.
